I totally forgot to put the rest of the icons for "Things I am not Allowed to do at the PPC."

*headdesk*

There are about 150 icons all told, but I've forgotten which ones I've posted already and honestly, I can't be buggered to sort it out. So I now give you the link to the LJ Gallery where all the icons are posted. Enjoy!

(BTW. If you would like the Photoshop templates for these icons, just drop me a line via comments, and I can email it to you.)

At the PPC Board, we compiled a continuation of this.

I didn't come up with this idea, but it definitely needs to be plugged and the artists participating in it should be given a great deal of support:

The Character Is... project. Basically, it makes fun of the often reoccuring Badfic cliches about a character. I've seen a few, and they're damn funny. Take a look. Congratulate the artists. Spread the word.

This needs to have more said about it.

Cross posted from the Board for the benefit of those on LJ and ex-PPCers who keep LJ watch.

I'm planning a round-the-world trip in Feb/March next year as a graduation present, and so I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in having a PPC Meetup...

I'm going to London, Montreal and Texas on the way through, amongst other places, and I know we have several Boarders in/near to those places. Being late winter, it's not exactly the best time I know...

I'll be in London around the 13-15 Feb, then in Montreal around the 22-25 Feb, then in Austin, TX for 4-9 March.

As an aside, any suggestions for fun things to do in London and Montreal - I've been to London once but only for a day, and never to Montreal, so some suggestions would be much appreciated.

Elcalion, travelling.

Hey. My name's Gabrielle, and I just got 'recruited' by...myself, I guess...seeing as the situation in The Cesspool is dire. Very, very dire. I have 20+ badfics on my drive, waiting to be PPC'd. If you want any, mail me at xo.ringer__@hotmail.com and I'll send you the links.

In the PPC, I go as Mackenzie and my partner is Nate; read his story in the story itself.

Another question - is there anywhere else where I could archive this, seeing as it is supposedly 'against the rules' to post stuff of this sort in The Cesspool?

Thanks!

Mackenzie

P.S. Someone send me Discworld, express. I can't find any copies here in Israel. Never read it. Is it requred to join the PPC? -cringes, hoping WoT and Tortall world is enough-

Agent Nemia, reporting. Karma can't be here at the community at the moment, as she's... a bit tied up, currently.

It's for her own good, really.

But let's get down to business. In light of recent events,* I think a PPC Public Service Announcement is in order.

ASSASSINS: The words "canon Sue" can mean one of two things. The first is a Sue posing as a canon character. I think we all know what we do with those. But bear in mind that your license to kill does not extend to the other sort: the Sues that are supposed to be there.

Love 'em or hate 'em, it's not our job to eradicate 'em.

To further impress this concept on you, I bring you icons. They're rather shoddy, but it was the best I could do.

Buh-bye, now. I have to go make sure my partner takes her anti-lustin.

*Read as: Karma rewatched "Girl in the Fireplace." I told her not to, but would she listen?

Greetings

Agent Tatharien here.
Also Agent Glass of PotC.
Yes, hi. I'm working on three missions at the moment--two for Tath (one LotR, where she should be, one Gattaca as a favor) and one for Glass (PotC, fried chicken and too much canon character hugging.) As my partners and I are all in our junior year of college, this is going rather slowly, but I'll try to finish at least one this year.

Notes ahead of time: I basically copied the style and formatting of the other Basic Charge Lists out there, so I'd like to credit the person who wrote those for the format and style (and in a lot of cases, entire paragraphs). I did this because I felt that since they're all supposed to come from the SO, it's best if the style and phrasing used is consistent. Other than that, if you do have suggestions, either leave a comment here or email me one (it's given in there). I think I have all the HTML formatting fixed, but if not, please tell me.

Hallo all. It's been awhile (and a computer crash) since I last posted here. I've got the next bunch of "Things I'm Not Allowed to do at the PPC" icons ready to go. Like I said before, gankage is fine with credit.

It's still formatted in the two giant columns. If someone could tell me how to get more than two pictures on a row, that'd be favorite.

Just received this from a colleague and told her I'd post it here. Academic credentials would probably be a bonus, but if you think you can contribute something even without having credentials, give it a shot!

Let me know if I missed any or got any wrong )
[identity profile] kerowyn47.livejournal.com
Alright. I've got some of this stuff together. Here are the first 50 icons, including the teaser icons from last night. Same rules apply. The usual ganking rules apply; no hotlinking and please credit me. Comments are always nice.

Some people have informed me that they can't see the icons or that they are displaying incorrectly. I've tried to fix that this time around. Also, this post is rather long because I can't get LJ to let me post a table with more than 2 columns. C'est la vie.

'Tis I! Agent Sophia Cole, wielder of a poison pen (no, really, it is) and slayer of Sues! I should have a mission log up and running for you all soon!

Sophia (and Branwen and Inara the chibi-merthingy)
